what are good homemade decoration for a winter wonderland theme?
my friend is getting married next week. she has no decorations, no money and no plans. i am the maid of honor and it is up to me to save the day. the theme for her wedding is winter wonderland. the colors are blue, white and silver. i need centerpieces, decorations, and bridal party/shower ideas. HELP!
Candles, tea light candles are very inexpensive at somewhere like ikea.. get tons of them, also, you know those white fairy lights people use on the outside of their homes? use them around…. this will create a nice effect for lighting between the two.
have any white curtains laying around? hang them from the ceiling using fishing wire to create different areas. get blue and silver little ornaments to hang from the ceiling as well at varying heights overhead.
create centerpieces out of sticks you can find outside for free, mixed with pine-cones, or small pieces of pine tree. Can dust with white or silver spray paint to go with the colors.
(another option is having clear glass cylindrical container filled with silver and blue balls… like mini ornaments)
If you can get inexpensive white covers for chairs, and some bulk thick ribbon from a fabric store, tie the ribbon around the back of the chairs with a bow… looks classy… its simple.
They also sell white (and many other colors) snowflake wall decals that may come in handy. they are very easy to use, and are removable… for the walls or even tables.
this may be out of the budget, but an ice sculpture, or liquor luge may be a nice touch as well…
