Jewish law on wedding rings?

I read the law in the various Jewish wedding rings and I have seen several mentions of any person without stones, no holes, some say that there are no potholes. Some say that it is only for women. I saw a comment on the more traditional man is even more different. Someone explain? Mine is a "The Ani Dodi" which has the letters cut. Other I've seen raised letters or cut with a file. Being there are many places to sell these I wonder about this law. Even the old rings Jewish wedding, where huge. As the woman would be a house, actually a house in a metal ring. Be at least an inch of the finger. Anyway if Please tell me what you see and drawings?>

I OK I'll explain the Orthodox perspective. There is no law in connection with a ring marriage, there are customs in different communities (varies by community) that considered mandatory for all members of the community. The most common practice is that the Orthodox ring, a band of gold bullion, without drawings or anything MARR surface (symbolic of eternal continuing relationship.) This is a ring of women. No wedding ring for men. In fact, the man giving a ring under the chupah to invalidate the marriage. (Many men Orthodox put a ring on after the ceremony, especially those working in a largely non-Jewish and want to know peple who are married. ) Rings Antique were actually part of the dowry to the woman and therefore richer husband, the most elaborate and expensive ring. Your best bet is talk to the synagogue where the rabbi they will marry, if she is not happy with the ring, he will not let you use it during the marriage, so make sure you are happy to take the decision.
