Wedding Lincoln
Lincoln was the third city of the kingdom's prosperity and importance to the Norman period. Fortunately, this year the City Council have failed to find sufficient resources to maintain the tourist information office near the Castle open. Visitors can now information on attractions that Lincoln has to offer.
The library is holding a series of presentations and topics throughout the year.
The Castle
Lincoln Castle was built on a site previously occupied by the Romans. Just after the Battle of Hastings, William the Conqueror began building the castle in 1068.
The castle was used by 900 years as a court and prison with many people running in the walls.
Original features remain, and visitors access to great views to the Cathedral, the city and the surrounding wall of the ride.

We are happy to offer a wide range of services such as gallery exhibitions in the community, a special program of dynamic events, and educational sessions related to the National Curriculum. We also list a number of "boxes" that can be hired by community organizations and schools and provide the opportunity identify and manipulate objects of the past.
The museum is fully accessible to users of wheelchairs and has a tearoom, gift shop and parking Free car and coach.
The Cathedral
On the front of the fine west of Lincoln Cathedral Church of St. Mary, after the parade of old buildings outside the castle walls, the sight of the towers, flying is awesome. It is the cathedral that John Ruskin called "the song plus a jewel architecture in the British Isles ", in which Ruskin was right magic, beauty is only pure and its towers can be seen from all around the city.
From the Romanesque cathedral was started in 1072, and the pieces of this period can be seen in the west end building, where they have developed three portals surmounted by exquisitely carved frieze 1145. Normally, the cathedral is Gothic and most of the dates of the church after an earthquake in 1185. No change since then.
The choir has was rebuilt in 1192, was followed by reconstruction of the western part of the church. The choir of angels, known for its beautiful decor and wide expanses of the windows were added between 1256-80. Not only after minor additions have been made.
