Wedding Gown Tea Length
Can I wear a formal big wedding dress to an afternoon ceremony and reception?
I am concerned if we do an early ceremony followed by an afternoon brunch that I cannot wear a super fancy formal wedding gown.
My sourthern sorority ettiquite tells me that afternoons call for tea-length and that floor length is relegated to the evening.
Help, I want a pretty formal long gown. So I wanted an evening reception.
But fiance wants an afternoon reception since we are doing it on a Sunday.
We are having a French theme and rented out a beautiful fancy formal French restaurant with gorgeous gardens. It is definitely a gorgeous and upscale.
I think you can wear a big dress in the afternoon – must be a southern thing… never heard of it before. Usually the venue sets the formality, as well as the time.
