By Rich Leggitt – Black Tie Events
Most couples have more May easy time choosing a first dance. They have "their" song for it. Usually, a song that was special to them during relationship or one that has stuck a chord with them that lead to the wedding. Congratulations to these couples! This is one more piece of the puzzle wedding, you will not have to worry about. This article is dedicated to you, is written for couples who have no idea what song to dance or how to choose.
Here are some tips that can help you choose a song that will work on 1 Dance for you.
1) OBTAIN A DJ – The best source is the DJ or band to hire. They should have a list of proven 1 dance songs they play that fits all situations. Oldies contemporary music, performing these dances each weekend which has many suggestions to choose from. Have this list and ask them their opinion, after all that is part of what you are paying.
2) AN ITEM FIT – Some couples set a theme for the wedding and your 1st dance song should reflect this theme does not work against him. If tropical country, Disney, or a classic wedding theme. Your dance must remain faithful to this theme. Say you make a classic theme of the wedding and you want great oldies played during the reception. Artists like Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Louis Armstrong and the subject of more than 1 by a song by the Backstreet Boys and Kanye West.
3) find an artist in common – if you're having problems here is one last tip that can help. Both must sit down and write a list of 10 of their favorite artists. You may have little in common. Here are some slow dance artist and listen to see if what you're looking good. Have fun with the process and find one you like.
I hope these tips help. One advice I can give is that too much stress on the words of the song you choose. A young bride, I have worked with down each phrase in the song to see if the words made his situation. She went crazy and could not find a song, it really happy. Relax and enjoy the process of their 1st dance song does not make or break your case and must be special to you. Have fun and good luck
