When my son told me he would marry, I knew that I wanted to write a song for him and his new wife. My intention was to give something special and personal. When I started writing the song, it became increasingly clear to me that this is a song wonderful to be played in the marriage that he and I could dance.
Emphasis This mother and son singing was not so much of him as a boy growing up. It was in their special wedding day and the beginning of her new life with his new wife. I wanted to welcome his new bride in our family as my daughter wanted that news and know that we have always been able to share his love. Wanted him to know he'd always be there for him. I wanted my son to see his wife as his best friend and is important to be always true to himself.
I wrote the lyrics to this wedding song mother and son and Jim McShane wrote the music. We recorded the song in a classic version and played at the wedding. It was nice to everyone, young and old, men and women. I was encouraged by people to post both the CD and put it available to others. So with this encouragement, Jim and I also recorded version of our country and leave alone registered traditional and country versions in May 2007. My New Father song wedding of the daughter entitled I'll Always Be Your Daughter was released in May 2008. I record a new bride and groom first dance song, titled "Two little words. It will be published in June 2009.
Not only am I proud mother of two sons and a daughter-in-law, I am now a proud grandmother of beautiful little girl.
