Mother of the Bride and Groom?
Hi. Thanks for reading. I haven’t been to a wedding since I was like 14. I’m not really sure on the whole mother of the bride/groom attire. The bridesmaid dresses are a mushroom/champagne color and my dress is ivory with champagne beads, plus there are two junior bridesmaids who will be wearing a pale pink. The guys are in black with ties that match the mushroom/champagne color of the bridesmaids dresses. What is a good color for the moms? Should it be similar to the wedding colors? Should both of the mom’s wear the same color? The wedding is in the summer if that helps anything.
The mom’s dress should not clash, but the do not need to match. They do not need to wear the same color.
If it were a room in a home, the mom’s dresses can be a coordinating color or an accent color.
Given the colors you have mentioned, there is a wide range of options, but a sage green comes to mind or even robin’s egg blue, coffee, or a darker shade of pink.
No “bright” colors – sunshine yellow, bright royal blue, etc.
