Bride Wars Wiki

Need not always be unknown to you if wikis. The wiki is a revolutionary way to share content and communities to create both a person and a business.

What the heck is a wiki? If your answer is "I do not know, then read. Wikis have created a new world of information, and with them, you'll never be unconscious.

A wiki is website that allows users to contribute or modify content. Ward Cunningham, developer of the first wiki software, has launched its website WikiWikiWeb in 1995, inspired by the "Wiki Wiki Shuttle" from the airport to Honolulu International Airport ( "wiki" is Hawaiian "fast"). Cunningham describes the origin of a wiki as "the online database that could possibly be more simple work."

A wiki is a true content management system. A CMS is a software application to create, edit, manage and publish content in an organized manner. Say you had a newsletter that is updated weekly. A CMS allows you to create a template with a header, logo, date, etc., then a space where content will go. Thus, each week you do not have to re-create the newsletter from scratch, you can update the content. A CMS can fill the dates and other information automatically publish the file, you can search, edit, and all sorts of other functions.

Most sites are designed with a CMS, and a great example of this file for your blog. Simply enter your text, type of publication and everything else is compatible.

Thus, a wiki is a website (or pages) with this configuration that allows any person to express change or add content. The wiki for most of the more known is the website Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia that anyone can edit. "The advantage of a wiki is that two minds are one, is a collaborative effort.

The most obvious benefit of a wiki is that they are a great source of free information. There are literally thousands of wikis out there, both public and private, large or small, or very general, very specific. Wikipedia is an example of a wiki very broad public. Provides summaries fine, but if you've always wanted to know about the monopoly, wiki would not be a reference in the games, but specifically in the monopoly. If wondering, Monopoly is a wiki, and great way to find a specific wiki is the to search a wiki farm, a unique site hosting multiple wikis. Two of the most popular are Wetpaint and Wikia.

Wikis create and build communities and can benefit both the individual and, more recently, companies. The monopoly of the wiki is an excellent example of how a person can learn more about their topic of interest (history or fun facts) to find information about related topics (eg, Parker Brothers), and connect with other fans of Monopoly.

Wiki can also benefit businesses, for example, is a small Volacci Austin Internet marketing company that specializes in optimizing search engines natural. Initially based on the need to offer support more users, have created a wiki for their customers. Includes company information, a glossary of terms and FAQ. This is not only a valuable resource for customers, but as anyone can edit or add, customers can share information and feedback. The wiki is another avenue for the company to communicate with customers and vice versa, and also connects customers to customers create an interactive community. (A benefit added that this strategy is combined with a search engine marketing because they provide relevant content and frequent updates related to your industry.)

While wiki mai a funny word, are nothing to laugh. In this age of information, the wiki is a revolutionary way to share content and create communities. Individuals have been a wiki in progress for some time, and companies are starting to catch up. In a world of wikis, you never have to say, "do not know" again.
